• Smooth red Viking shield with Vegvisir runes symbol. The Vegvisir, which is also known as the Viking compass, is an ancient Norse symbol, worn to find one's way through rough weather. Viking warriors would carve it on their shields to guarantee the success of their raids.The shield is made out of thick birch plywood, painted, and smoothed by hand, consolidated by a steel hand-hammered umbo and bolts. It comes with a wood handlebar installed on the back.
